A few bits to mention, in my classic bulleted list format, of course.

* Too much spandex and too much Bode Miller at the Torino opening ceremonies. Coming soon - Bode Miller in spandex.

* A bad year for super bowl commercials, with a few exceptions. Is there something wrong with me because I think the emerald nuts ads are hilarious?

* The first day you have a newspaper delivered to you is a classic "ugh, I'm sort of an adult" moment, right up there with receiving your first credit card.

* Sysinternal's Process Explorer is one of the best programs on earth if you have to deal with the finickyness of Windows every day. It's like the task manager on Brain and Nerve Tonic. And yes, that is the same guy that exposed the Sony rootkit.

* "I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me." - Abe Simpson
